Now in our 18th year, The Whole Bagel remains Bath’s original and only dedicated bagel shop and café – proudly independent and part of the city’s food scene since 2007.

We’re known for serving freshly made food, prepared to order using the best quality ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible. Our menu is packed with delicious choices – from our famous filled bagels to fresh salads, wraps, and baguettes – all made with care and flavour at the heart. All our bagels are made from natural ingredients.

We’re proud to serve authentic, hand-crafted bagels made in the traditional way — boiled before baking — to give that perfect chewy texture and golden crust that true bagel lovers know and crave.

Our bagels are freshly baked using time-honoured family recipes and only the finest, high-quality ingredients. They contain no preservatives or artificial colouring, and are entirely free from animal fats — making them suitable for vegetarians and halal compliant.

Each batch is made with care, following artisan techniques that have been perfected over more than a decade of professional baking. The result is a delicious, wholesome product that tastes fresh, authentic and full of character – the way real bagels should.

Step inside our cosy café and discover a calm retreat from the bustle of the city centre. With over 40 seats indoors and a peaceful hidden courtyard, it’s the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or a relaxed afternoon coffee.

Alongside our food, we serve great coffee, real fruit smoothies, and thick ice cream milkshakes – a favourite for locals, students, and visitors alike.

We’re also proud to cater for gluten-free and coeliac customers, with dedicated preparation areas, gluten-free bread, and almost all of our fillings gluten-free too. Keep an eye out for our seasonal salads and homemade brownies, many of which are gluten-free as well.
